The HKSAR Government has raised the new coronavirus epidemic to emergency response level. Accordingly, Ethics Medical Centre has adopted relevant infection control measures.
We have formulated a series of infection control measures to ensure the health and safety of patients and employees:
We have installed body temperature sensors to check the body temperature of all patients who arrive at the medical centre and remind them to wear surgical masks and disinfect with alcohol hand rub.
Visitors are required to fill out a form to declare whether they have had a recent fever, respiratory symptoms, diarrhea, having returned from a high-risk area, or have been in contact with a COVID 19 patient in the past 14 days.
Our medical staff and administrative team wear masks with appropriate protective devices as required by different medical procedures, frequant hand washing and maintain good personal hygiene. Daily disinfection of the centre is mandatory.
We have formulated guidelines for frontline staff (during the epidemic of COVID 19) to comply with the "Key Elements on Prevention and Control of COVID-19 in Healthcare Settings (Interim) ", ‘’Recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in hospitals/clinics under Serious/ Emergency Response Level (COVID-19) and ‘Prevention of COVID-19 - Infection Control Measures for Allied Health Professionals’ of the Center for Health Protection.
If a patient meets the reporting criteria of the "Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent" of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health, we will immediately isolate the suspected case, notify the Center for Health Protection and follow the procedures to deal with it, and thoroughly disinfect the medical centre after the suspected patient leaves.
